They are rhododendrons and you’re right, they still bloom each spring! It’s quite surprising considering how much ice and snow sits on them for months at a timeβοΈβοΈ.
Hopefully, the cold doesn’t kill the green. I had a plant out in my entryway (inside the house, but an area with no heat source) and poor plant froze… one by one the leaves are falling off!
